It must be a cat! A year after Doja Cat bought the place, the Tik Tok meme queen-turned-international pop music superstar has already broken free from her Los Angeles home. Yes, everyone’s favorite celebrity pride of place is listed for sale for just under $2.5 million, which is a modest profit over the $2.2 million she paid back in February 2021.
In her short tenure, the 26-year-old LA native has made a few improvements to the property, which sits on a narrow street off Mulholland Drive, in the rugged mountains above Beverly Hills. In particular, she installed a large wooden gate that now separates the driveway from the public road in front. Naturally, the property is also secured with cameras and an alarm system.
Doja Cat seems to have left the house, as the rooms are mostly empty and appear step by step. Still, fans will recognize the Grammy Award winner’s frequent appearances on TikTok and Instagram Live sessions. On the main level, the combined living-dining-family room area has glass walls, whitewashed walls and ceilings, and a mid-century-style fireplace that likely dates to the 1960s when the house was built. Also a small but elegant kitchen with curved cabinetry, quartz counters, bar seating and high-end stainless appliances.
There are also two guest rooms on the main floor, one that opens through glass doors to the pool area and the other designed by Doja Kat herself as a pastel-pink “glam room.” The penthouse-level master suite occupies the entire second floor of the home and features a one-bedroom suite, a long row of wall shelves, and a concrete bathroom with a gray sink.
The 8,000-square-foot lot isn’t huge, but the property features a heated backyard pool for chilly nights, several built-in seating areas, concrete decks and young olive trees. There is also a two-car garage and parking for two additional vehicles.
Apart from her hit songs (“Say Like This”, “Like This”, “Kiss Me More”), Doja Cat – real name Amala Dlamini – has a wardrobe full of colorful and unique clothes, and is known for her fun-loving and sense of humour. And he recently got into a personal feud with “Stranger Things” star Noah Schnapp.
