“New Advertising Spaces”.Adventure calls“And”Americana“Today’s car ad uses familiar tropes as an opportunity to introduce Edmunds as a behind-the-scenes guide in the car shopping journey. The spots are directed and developed in partnership with Hannah LevyCreative Production Associate Tool Director. Levy first partnered with Edmonds earlier in the year, directing two ad spots that Edmonds launched. Her extensive directing experience includes working as director of shorts for NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”
“I am thrilled to have the second opportunity to partner with Edmonds on this campaign,” said Levy. “Car commercial tropes are begging to be forgiven. I wanted to take the overblown tropes of the genre and turn them on their head.”
“Consumers have come to expect sexy, flashy or even edgy images of products in car advertising,” says Anziska. “Edmonds is disrupting these expected tropes by using surprise to remind viewers that we want to help them through the process of buying or selling a car. We were thrilled to work with Hannah and have her in the director’s chair to help guide and communicate our brand message in a relatable, humorous and memorable way.”
Both spots run through 2022 and across YouTube and its connected TV and online video properties from NFL, Fox, NBC, DirectTV, EyeQ, OTT Advisors, Telaria and more.
