Property expert Jonathan Roland, founder of Buy House Fast, says: “The market has risen so quickly but there are many ways sellers can increase value even further, often without having to spend money on a new kitchen or major extension. .
“Paint jobs that often look tired can look brand new with a nice clean.
“Use warm soap and water for glittery paint on things like the front door and dresser and the magic eraser on the walls, use finger marks on round light switches and the child’s art crayon marks.
“Don’t forget to do the same with the window frames and clean the glass inside and out.”

“Clean up the garden and remove any unwanted or rough furniture or children’s toys,” adds Jonathan.
“Create a parking lot. If you live in a busy area, set up a car park and apply to the council for a kerb. It can add up to thousands.”
