In June, we all celebrated the fact that Lake Charles in Confections had finally reopened. You can view that article here. Even if they moved a smidge north to Moss Bluff, we’re all excited to see another diabetes cornerstone come into our lives. The bakery was bombarded for weeks and weeks with customers trying to get a cupcake from their Moss Bluff location. The question continued as to when the cakes would start working. The question has been answered!
Joe’s party house
Joe’s have downsized their operations in their new little space, and are once again serving cakes. I believe they have been doing it for a few weeks now, but they decided to show off their cake on their Facebook page. Let me tell you, just looking at those colors tells you where those cakes came from. Plus, I got all nostalgic to see them in their case. Waiting to come home with us as we make excuses for why we shop.

No, no, Stephanie. You’re walking home with that cake, wearing baggy pants, pouring yourself a glass of wine, turning on the ID channel, watching your husbands psychologically poison you while you eat that cake. No children.
Joe’s party house
Joe’s Party House is open Monday through Friday from 8 to 5 and closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Their cakes are still served first. Due to high demand, we are unable to take orders for cakes or cupcakes. That said, you better get it while you can.
