We’ve all had neighbors who want to make life so difficult for everyone.
Whether they park their car in your lot or play loud music all night.
But this mother took it too far when a neighbor tried to dissuade her from selling her house.
She explained what happened on Mumsnet, that they both own 50 per cent of their maisonette and she is selling hers.
She said: “The person we were selling the house to didn’t like it (based on the brief) and tried to block the sale.
Although Mom apologized, he was shocked that they would try to block the sale.
Mum continued: “Our lawyer wrote to remind him that although he is a 50 per cent freeholder, he does not have the right to say to whom we sell our 50 per cent share of our personal choice.
“You can’t audition for the neighbors!
He was shocked to find lawyers, apparently unaware that buying a home is a serious legal commitment!
Fortunately, Mom was able to sell the house as planned, but not after a lot of stress from her nightmare neighbor.
But in the end, she was able to get her own “very little revenge.”
She explained: “Just before we moved out, he picked up CCTV on the property (private!!!) going to our garden and to our car – presumably to keep an eye on the new neighbor once they moved in.
“It’s one of those things that activates and sends an alert if your phone detects motion.
“I’m a morning outdoor athlete so I make sure I do all my star jumps and lunges on my car at 6.30am in front of the camera.
“It’s always amused me to see the lights go on with the little ‘awake’ ring, clearly confirming the presence of an intruder – I hope you enjoy the 6:30am wake-up alarm a few times a week!”
