“Sheffield, Liverpool and Birmingham didn’t make the top five places to sell your house fast, but some areas of those cities dominated postcodes for fast house sales.”
According to analysis by Pink Storage, Sheffield’s S11 postcode was the fastest selling overall, with homes selling within 11 days of being listed.
Mr Evans said: “The majority of homes sold in this region last year were terraces selling for around £317,306. Detached properties in the area sold for doubles at £600,567.
Homes in Liverpool’s L11, L26 and L14 postcodes sell quickly in 14, 15 and 23 days respectively.

The slowest places to sell a house
The slowest cities to sell a Pink Storage home are Newcastle, London and Liverpool.
Property owners in Newcastle took 283 days to sell, while homeowners in London and Liverpool were still waiting on the market for an average of 429 and 475 days, the study found.
In these cities, different zip codes took longer than others to change — some as long as four years.
Mr Evans said: “The Newcastle NE1 postcode was the slowest selling postcode in the area, taking 761 days to sell a house.”
“The majority of houses sold in this area last year were flats, with these flats selling for £154,933.”
Home prices in the area are down three percent from last year.
